It all began in a dark and unassuming old loft building on the west side of Broadway, just a few doors north of Bleecker Street. Up one long flight of stairs, tilting a bit, no doubt from the building settling over decades of rumbling subways, buses and trucks.
The Saturday night rent party began when David, who loved music and happened to own a deluxe sound system and lived in a large space with great hard wood floor; it was fine for dancing. David was gifted with a taste for music that propelled people to the dance floor, partner or no partner. He presented a glorious ambiance for a memorable evening.
